The Advanced Seminar is intended for Alumni Officers and Managers, Fundraising and Development staff, Senior Management and Principals from Institutions (Schools, Colleges, Language Schools, Universities, Associations etc) from the UK and Ireland, Europe, Middle East, Asia and Worldwide who:
- Have previously attended the Introductory Seminar 'How To Start And Grow Your Alumni Online Community', OR
- Are already experienced in using digital channels and platforms for communicating and engaging with, and fundraising from, their Alumni, including former pupils and students, staff, parents and other members of the Community.
Those attending should:
- have an established web presence (either a dedicated website or web pages) for their Alumni;
- be using email to communicate with Alumni;
- be managing an Alumni Facebook Page(s) with content;
- have an Alumni LinkedIn Group;
- have an Alumni Twitter account.
You may also be publishing a blog, using event management online, multimedia etc.

This Advanced Seminar is intended for those who are already confident in using the Internet, Social Media, Email etc, so you will usually have an established website, Social Media presence (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter), be using Email regularly to communicate with and inform your Alumni Community, be happy using Multimedia, Event management systems etc.
(You will therefore be more experienced than those Schools, Colleges, Universities and Alumni Associations beginning the process of using digital channels and platforms to engage their Alumni.)
This Advanced Alumni Relations Online Seminar will not only be relevant strategically and immediately practical with tips and techniques that can be quickly implemented but it will also of interest for personal development purposes for those working in the Alumni Relations, Fundraising and Development fields - locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

We have been delivering introductory training and consultancy and organised and presented at workshops, seminars and conferences for over 6 years on how Institutions and Alumni Associations can use digital communications, channels and platforms to more effectively engage, connect, network and fundraise with former pupils and students.
Now that many Institutions and Alumni Associations have established a Web presence and are using Social Networks, Micro-blogging, Email etc, we feel it is timely to offer more advanced training and support.
We appreciate that your time is short and resources have to be allocated with care for maximum positive impact.

WHO WILL LEAD THE ADVANCED SEMINAR?
The 'Maximising Alumni Engagement, Networking and Fundraising Online' Advanced Seminar will be lead by Matthew D'Arcy, Managing Director of OMTAC Ltd*.
Matthew has been involved in Alumni Relations for over 20 years and Education Marketing, PR & Admissions for over 15 years, having participated in and lead School and University alumni committees etc, and more generally with the Education sector while working at the University of Surrey (UK) as Student Enterprise Manager and at Worth School (UK) as Director of Marketing & Careers.
Matthew first began working with the Internet while working at the University and then when creating the first website for Worth School in 1998. Since then he has been using digital marketing and communications in business in different sectors, from recruitment, retail and travel to FMCG and sports products.
For the last 6-8 years Matthew has been variously involved in offering training and solutions in the area of digital alumni relations and education marketing/student recruitment, and most recently he gave a presentation on digital alumni relations at the IDPE Conference 2011.

You may cancel your booking and receive a full refund provided written notification is received at least 14 days before the Advanced Alumni Relations Online Training Seminar.
We cannot provide a refund for the Advanced Training Seminar or associated expenses should a delegate need to cancel with less than 14 days notice (whatever the reasons for non-attendance) however substitutions are welcome or you can move your booking to another Seminar, Workshop or Conference (taking place within 12 months of your original booking) for the same value.
