HOW TO USE MOBILE PLATFORMS TO MARKET YOUR BRANDS, PRODUCTS OR SERVICES AND FOR TRAINING AND LOGISTICS APPLICATIONS TOO
ABOUT OUR IN-HOUSE TRAINING (CUSTOMISED FOR YOUR COMPANY AND SECTOR)
We are on the crest of a tidal wave with Mobile Marketing Communications and Training Applications likely to boom for all sectors, for marketing, communications and management at all levels in your organisation.
- Mobile ownership in the UK is nearly 50 million.
- Over 1 billion page impressions on social networking sites are made via mobiles each month.
- Within 2 years Smartphones are forecast to comprise 70% of the European market and application downloads are expected to increase by 92% to 50 billion.
How is your organisation utilising Mobile platforms for B2B and B2C?
Are you and your colleagues fully aware of all the potential channels, applications and benefits for using Mobile platforms for your marketing, communications, training and staff support?
How will you ensure you and your colleagues avoid being left behind by your competitors or spending too much, ineffectively, to implement mobile techniques and technologies?
In response to requests from various clients we have developed an in-house training day for companies of all sizes wanting to address these questions urgently and in-depth, to look properly at mobile marketing platforms and to consider what might be the best approach for exploring this area for B2B and B2C marketing and communications, training and staff logistics and strategic planning for their organisation.
We are happy to meet with you too, subject to availability, to deliver a customised training and strategic development day on a 1:1 basis, or to a group of colleagues in your company, to explore how your organisation can best exploit mobile marketing going forwards.
WHY SPEND TIME AND RESOURCES INVESTIGATING MOBILE PLATFORMS NOW?
Consider... do you have a mobile phone? Of course you do... so do your customers and clients. Can you use it to connect positively with your brands, products or services... for B2B and/or B2C? More importantly... can they?
At times the speed of development in technology and consumer behaviour can be staggering, leaving those of us working in Sales, Marketing and PR breathless. But the pressure is on... the future is mobile connectivity and we need to know what is happening and what we can do to exploit it.
The alternative? Ignorance is not bliss... at the very best we look foolish... take Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer's comments to USA Today's David Lieberman about the new iPhone in 2007: "There's no chance that the iPhone is going to get any significant market share. No chance."
And don't dismiss mobile media as being a "teen thing"... the median age for mobile media users is 33 (40% female) and for mobile games it is 31 with a 50:50 split between men and women!
The timeline stands as testament to the rapidly increasing importance of mobile platforms. First there was the impact of mobile telecommunications on telephony, then the adoption of texting (SMS) by everyone from toddlers to senior citizens and the ability to access the web while on the move.
The availability of 3G and Wi-Fi and the introduction of Smartphones and their massive popularity have now made mobile web access easy, fast and reliable. Now mobile applications (apps) and mobile computing are giving users 24/7 connectivity and powerful functionality to entertain, inform, connect, manage and deliver.
Mobile platforms are changing the way we do business... or should be... if we could just understand how...
IN-HOUSE TRAINING - FAST TRACK FOR KNOWHOW AND STRATEGIC PLANNING
This is an excellent time for you to look properly at Mobile marketing platforms and to consider what might be the best approach for exploring this area for B2B and B2C.
We are, as Marketing Week put it recently, at the “start of (a) long journey” with Mobile marketing etc and as Paul Doeman (Head of e-Marketing at TM Lewin) has been quoted as saying, few if “anyone out there right now has all the information or is an expert on this medium yet”.
So it is early days still but there is no doubt mobile marketing communications and training applications are set to dominate in the future with many companies (like Unilever which doubled its spending on advertising this year) moving fast to better understand and exploit the potential with the next 3 billion consumers expected to access the Internet from a mobile device, use applications etc etc.
Also it is important to consider that successful long-term developments in this area for B2B and B2C are not (necessarily) just in advertising/entertainment applications but also in utility and training applications too (that serve to improve sales, incentivise and up-skill third party representatives, improve customer service and long-term loyalty) etc.
There is therefore considerable potential for your organisation to get “ahead of the game” and achieve competitive advantage through a better understanding of the potential for using Mobile platforms and the adoption of a progressive, but carefully considered, approach to exploiting the new opportunities that are opening up in this area.
IN-HOUSE TRAINING - GREAT VALUE, CUSTOMISED TRAINING ON-SITE AT YOUR CONVENIENCE
We will design and deliver a day’s insight and training for your team comprising an overview of “marketing, training and customer service” and strategic planning, using Mobile platforms and exploring how these might be relevant and effective for you in providing the best possible ROI.
Over the day’s session we will set out to introduce Mobile platforms, examine the potential, explore examples and case studies of how Mobile platforms are already being exploited and discuss the potential applications for your organisation and the key strategic planning issues, particularly with a view to the “best fit” and integration with existing marketing activity... looking at such questions/themes and issues as:
- Overview of the B2B and B2C Mobile Marketing.
- What are Mobile Sites, Apps (Applications) and Widgets and how are they relevant to your marketing activity?
 - Mobile Marketing Blackberry 250 188What are the opportunities and pitfalls of Mobile Marketing?
- The best of all worlds? Applications vs Mobile sites.
- Which platforms and handsets? (Apple, Blackberry, Nokia, Google Android, Microsoft Windows Mobile Applications etc.)
- User interfaces and architectures.
- Major Application Marketplaces.
- Trends in Mobile Social Media (Geo-location and Geo-tagging, Mobile Commerce, Mobile Payments and Billing, Social Media Rewards etc.)
- How is Mobile marketing integrated into your marketing plan and what is your strategy for utilising Mobile platforms in the short, medium and long term?
- Etc etc.
Of course it is always hard to know at which level to pitch such a day with a range of experience and responsibility in the room but the best approach would probably be for us to give a “Mobile Platforms 101”, assuming little prior knowledge and then taking things forward over the day to more advanced strategic thinking etc.
The session can start and end at times to suit you, either at your offices or in an alternative location nearby.
Another benefit of in-house training is that you are welcome to have as many staff present as you wish - it can be a 1:1 or small group or up to about 10-15 people which is perhaps the ideal maximum, though we are happy to present to more people if you wish.
This training and strategic planning may be of particular interest to:
- Marketing, PR & Sales Professionals, Managers & Directors
- Brand Managers
- Business Development Managers
- HR Managers and Directors
- Senior Managers and Directors
- Business Owners
This means that the intensive day will not only be as relevant as possible to your organisation (as you are effectively paying for at least a day of preparation etc by us (specific to your company and sector) before arriving to deliver the day’s training) but also that the cost per head is considerably lower than for our public workshops and seminars.
